Custom Location Extension API Developer's Guide

Searching for Shapes and Locations

To search for shapes and Points of Interests (POIs) via the Custom Location Extension API, you can do one of the following:
  • Use the proximity.json resource to search for shapes and POIs located within a given radius around a particular point.
  • Use the corrdior.json resource to search for shapes and POIs located within a buffer, along a route that you specify with a sequence of coordinates.
  • Use the bbox.json resource to search for shapes and POIs located within a specified rectangular geographic area.
  • Use the quadkey.json resource to search for shapes and POIs with the quadkey number of a map tile.
  • Use the all.son resource to search for shapes and POIs with an attribute filter. Alternatively, you can also download a complete layer.
  • Use the tile.json resource to search for geometries located within a geographic tile.
