What Is the Fleet Connectivity?
The HERE Fleet Connectivity is a REST API that allows a fleet dispatcher and the mobile units that make up the fleet (mobile assets) to communicate. This communication concerns job allocation and acceptance as well as subsequent job status updates to ensure effective fleet management.
Typically, a mobile asset in a fleet represents a vehicle (delivery truck, car, or bicycle) and uses an application based on the HERE iOS and Android Premium Edition SDKs. These SDKs and the APIs they provide are described in the documentation accompanying the iOS and Android Premium Edition SDKs.
The REST API used by the dispatcher applications is a part of the Fleet Connectivity Extension ecosystem (see Fleet Connectivity Ecosystem).
