Road Space Rationing

Definition

Road Space Rationing describes Admin-wide access restriction on public roads based on combination of variables, e.g., digit of vehicle plates, day of a week, date of a month, etc.

Usage

Road Space Rationing enables correct route calculation and map display. It also enables pre-trip planning by indicating road rationing regulations based on the calculated route.

Specification

  • Road Space Rationing is applied as follows:
    • Last Digit of Vehicle Plate and Day of Week - if vehicles whose specific plate number's last digit are prohibited to use the road on specific day of the week. For example, all vehicles whose plate number ends with "1" are prohibited to use the road on Mondays, "2" on Tuesdays, and so on.
    • Last Digit of Vehicle Plate and Date of Month - if vehicles whose specific plate number's last digit are prohibited to use the road on specific dates of the month. For example, all vehicles whose plate number ends with "1" are prohibited to use the road every 1st , 10th, 20th, and 30th of the month.
    • Road Space Rationing Unknown - when information is unknown or not applicable.
