Places Metadata Layer
The Places Metadata layer provides textual description of various places related categories in the Places and Places for HERE Essential Map layers. The message definitions are defined in meta.proto.
| Chain | Chains are businesses having the same name, having more than one location, selling the same products/services and are governed by singular ownership, such as McDonald's, Walmart or Chili's. A chain is associated to a Place. |
| FoodType | The Food Type identifies the type of food primarily offered at a restaurant. |
| Category | The Category represents a code with a description indicating the purpose or line of business of a Place. |
