Get Cities (Deprecated)

Use the resource coverage/city to search for public transit coverage by city. All response times are provided in UTC without offset.

app_id String

Typically, but not guaranteed to be, 20
     bytes Base64 URL-safe encoded string used for the authentication of
     the client application. If you use the app ID/app code option, you
     need to include an app_id and

app_code String

apiKey String

A 43-byte Base64 URL-safe encoded string used for the authentication of the client
     application. As a logged in user, you can generate it at
     https://developer.here.com/projects.
     API Keys never expire but you can invalidate your API Keys at any time. You cannot have more
     than two API Keys for one app at the same time. You must include an apiKey with every request. For further details, see Acquiring Credentials.

politicalview String

Specify the political view. Available territories will be seen through the point of view of this country. If this parameter is not specified the neutral international view is made available, where territories may have unresolved claims.
A switch that allows grouping results from Taiwan together with results from China. When politicalview=CHN, Taiwan will appear as part of China.

Parameter Data Type Description
details Integer Specifies the level of detail included in the response. The response only includes the city tag when disabled. When you enable detailed coverage, the response contains population and operators information.

Only applicable to the cities list.

The nearby list never contains details.

0 = disabled, 1 = enabled

The default is 1

nearbyMax Integer Enables a separate list for nearby cities. The resulting response contains a separate list of cities without any details.

Cities with zero relevancy are included in the nearby list. All cities with a relevancy greater than 0 are shown in the "main" cities list

radius Integer Specifies a radius in meters that when combined with a centerpoint (as specified by the parameter center) defines the area of the search. The default value is 150,000m.
center Double,Double Specifies the latitude and the longitude of the center point of your search separated by a comma. Where the latitude is in WGS 84-compliant degrees between -90 and 90 and the longitude in WGS 84-compliant degrees between -180 and 180.

When the center is not specified, the complete list of cities is returned, sorted alphabetically by city name. When the center is specified but max and radius are omitted, all cities within the default 150,000 meters are returned, ordered by distance.

Parameter Data Type Description
time DateTime Specifies the time in ISO 8601 (for example, 2020-06-24T01:23:45) format. The time in the response does not contain an offset and represents UTC.
updatetype String

If set to new, the resulting response contains only cities that are new (to HERE transit service) since the given date.

If set to updated, the resulting response contains only cities with updated coverage information since the specified date.

If set to all, the resulting response contains cities that are either updated or new since a given date.

Parameter Data Type Description
callbackFunc String Specifies an arbitrary string used to wrap the JSON object in the response.
callbackId Integer If you specify the parameter callbackId, specifies the first argument to the function specified by the callbackFunc.
lang String Specifies the language of the response. The value complies with the ISO 639-1 standard and defaults to en.

If lang matches the native language of a particular city, state and country, the response contains their native names. Otherwise, the response contains international/English names.

max Integer Limits the number of cities the response can contain.
